Ocean Pitch Campsite wants the best for its campers. Whether your stay is centred around beach & surf activities or you’re simply taking the time to kick back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, we’re keen to make every effort to ensure the site is peaceful for your stay.
We welcome couples, families with older children and some well behaved groups. Like-minded people wanting to have a great time and enjoy the north Devon beaches. The campsite owners, Benny & Lou are a couple who make every effort to run a relaxed and quiet site, but they’re keen to ensure all campers have fun to ensure a pleasant and happy stay.
Therefore, this means we have a number of site “rules”:
By booking/staying with us you are agreeing to adhere to the restrictions set out by the Government in regards to travel & tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic. All guests will be made aware of these guidelines prior to arrival. Failure to comply with these strict rules whilst onsite will give Ocean Pitch the right to terminate your booking, therefore forfeiting any refund for the remainder of your stay.
We prefer small (2/3 person) or medium (4/6 person) capacity tents, please double check your pitch size when booking, Ocean Pitch is often fully booked so additional space may not be available if your pitch is the wrong size for your tent.
Vans such as VW campers are acceptable (or similar) & some larger vans such as Mercedes Sprinter’s. If you campervan is bigger please contact a member of the team to check if it is suitable. We do accept awnings that attach to campervans, but again please check your pitch size when booking.
Sorry no caravans.
Trade Vans / Panel Vans
Here at Ocean Pitch we welcome your trade / sign written vans on site, whether it’s your campervan for the weekend or simply your method of transport.
At peak times space is at a premium and tents will be pitched fairly close together. It is vital that all campers respect the 0.5m clearance rule. We offer 3 different sized pitches (small, medium & large). Feel free to contact a member of the team if you require assistance selecting the correct pitch for your Tent/Campervan.
Electric hook ups
We have 8 electrical pitches on site at a charge of £4 extra per night. Please note: We do not allow electrical hook-up splitters to be used. Should you require an electric pitch for charging your electric vehicle please contact a member of the team to enquire about voltage/power supply.
Our electrical hook-up points are all 16amp and use the standard EU Electrical hook-up camping connection.
Phone/ tablet or any electrical device can be charged in Reception at a cost of 50p.
We take a maximum of 12 in a mixed group & we ask that groups make every effort to respect the quiet nature of the site. (Please note. larger groups can be acceptable on request). This makes our sites unsuitable for Hen or Stag nights.
Single sex bookings
We take single sex bookings but limit the number of people to 6 only. (Larger same sex group bookings are subject to request to the Ocean Pitch team).
No person under the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult. We are also sorry to say but the campsite is not suitable for under 2’s.
We do not accept bookings for dogs. Guide dogs and therapy dogs are welcome on site, you may be asked for your certificates as evidence upon arrival. Dogs are permitted to visit the site during the day but must be kept on their leads at all times and are not allowed to stay on site overnight. Please use the following website www.thegooddogguide.com for campsites in Devon that do take dogs.
