NORTH DEVON CAMPING
Campsite Rules
Ocean Pitch is a cosy campsite within touching distance of the beach.
Our pitches are close together, and we do our utmost to offer a first-class camping experience; therefore, we have a few strict guidelines.
Before you book · Croyde Bay
A few rules that keep it good for everyone.
We’re a small site and the pitches sit close together, so a handful of guidelines make the difference between a great stay and a noisy one. Here’s all of it, up front.

Please

External noise
We do our best to keep the site peaceful, and we ask everyone to keep noise to a respectable level on the pitch. Croyde Bay is lively in peak season, so the area just outside can be noisier than the campsite itself.
-
Conditions apply

Fires
No open fires. Small fires are fine in a designated fire pit or a bucket raised off the ground, and they need putting out with a bucket of water before you turn in.
- Raised off the ground
- Out before bed
-
Not permitted

No dogs
We don’t permit dogs for campers staying over. They’re welcome to visit the site with their owners when you’re grabbing takeaway from the street food vans.
-
Not permitted

No caravans
We don’t hold the licence for caravans, and the site is too small to host them without affecting other guests. What we can take:
- Tents
- Campervans
- Motorhomes under 6.5m
- Trailer tents
- Roof tents
-
Please

5mph speed limit
Please stick to 5mph coming in and going out. It keeps everyone on site safe, kids included.
-
Until 9pm

Audible music
Chilled music on your pitch is fine at low volume, turned off by 9pm. We reserve the right to withdraw this if it’s abused with loud music during the day or after 9pm.
-
Not permitted

No large group bookings
Including hen and stag parties — the site is small and it changes the feel for everyone else. Not sure whether your group counts as large? Get in touch and we’ll tell you.

Check before booking

Choosing the right pitch
Our pitches sit right next to one another, so picking the right one matters. Exact sizes are shown during booking — check your tent or van fits comfortably first.

Not sure whether something’s allowed? Ask us before you book rather than after you arrive — we’d much rather sort it out early.
